1st Place - "Having Fun"

Hi Friends. I'm reposting "Having Fun" to share some good news with you. At today's Los Gatos Art Association meeting, this painting was awarded 1st place in the peer judging contest. The judges were the 30 or so artists who were present at the meeting. I feel very honored by the award. Thank you, fellow artists, for your votes and support.

If you live in the San Francisco Bay area and are interested in meeting other artists and seeing demos by established artists, I encourage you to come an Los Gatos Art Association meeting. At today's meeting, there was an oil painting demonstration given by Shannon Grissom; she painted a large-scale still life. I learned a lot from Shannon, and she's a very funny lady so we all had lots of laughs along the way. Hope to see you at an upcoming meeting!
